As a South Wales Wedding Photographer, it’s always a pleasure to capture beautiful moments like those from Jessica and Steffan’s wedding. Their big day took place at Fairyhill, a stunning venue in Gower, South Wales. Let me walk you through their beautiful wedding day!
The Morning Prep: Getting Ready at The Forge
The day began at The Forge, a lovely cottage in the grounds of Fairyhill, where Jessica and her bridal party were getting ready. I worked alongside videographer KM Videography, while hair was done by Amy from Paul Jackson Salon and makeup by Amy Louise, assisted by Jess Harris. It was such a sweet moment when Jessica’s sister helped her into her dress, and we captured an emotional first look with her dad and bridal party.
The Ceremony: Fairyhill’s Beautiful K Room
The ceremony took place in Fairyhill’s modern K Room, with huge windows looking out onto the green grounds. The floral decorations by The Dancing Daffodil were gorgeous, and to make things even cuter, the couple’s dog, Nala, was the ring bearer with help from Two Tails. After the ceremony, we celebrated with confetti.
Couple Portraits: Strolling Through the Gardens
After the ceremony, we took a walk through Fairyhill’s gardens for some couple portraits. We stopped in the walled gardens and by the river for some beautiful photos on the iconic bridge. It was the perfect setting for capturing their love. We were joined by Nala for some gorgeous paw-traits (see what I did there?)
Family and Bridal Party Photos: Memories to Cherish
Next, we took some family and bridal party photos. These are the pictures that everyone will treasure for years to come, and Fairyhill’s grounds made for a beautiful backdrop.
The Reception: Simple Elegance
The reception in the K Room was simple and elegant, with hundreds of candles creating a warm glow. After dinner, there were speeches from the Father of the Bride, Father of the Groom, Best Man, Maid of Honour, and the Groom. Everyone shared wonderful words that brought laughter and tears.
A Sparkling End to the Day
Later on, we headed outside for a fun sparkler line, which is always a great touch at winter weddings. We finished the evening with the cutting of the cake and the couple’s first dance followed by music from band Guilty Pleasure. I stayed to capture a few more dancing shots to end this gorgeous gallery.
